A red engineering kit is automatically added to your storage. You can find it in the 3rd tab. 

You can use the red engineering kit to restore some special buildings (like Water Tower, Ice, Coal, and Iron Units, a main prize of Pearl Mazes event) that are left on your station after you have created all the products in them.
