If your friends unlocked Forgotten Bay, you can visit their ports. You can dig there using shovels and collect treasures (including precious silvers).

However, you can't hire your neighbors in the port, as only true sailors can work there.

There are also 2 jolly sailors residing not far from your sea station: Glenn Dickson and Jerry Harrison. They are as friendly as Silent Shadow and Dull Echo.
